Tanzania faces power plant arbitration

Aqua Power and EDM sign MoU for 276MW gas-fired power plant in Maputo, Mozambique
Aqua Power and Electricidade de Mozambique, E.P. (EDM) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding to build a 276MW gas-fired power plant in Maputo, Mozambique. Under the agreement Aqua Power will construct the power plant and deliver power to address the significant deficit existing in the installed capacity for power generation both within Beluluane and across the Southern African Power Pool (SAPP). Construction is expected to start in 2020
