After seven months of construction Aqua Power has in a record time built a 45MW gas-fired power plant which will deliver reliable base-load power to Dangote Cement in Mtware, Tanzania. Aqua Power and Electricidade de Mozambique, E.P. (EDM) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding to build a 276MW gas-fired power plant in Maputo, Mozambique. Under the agreement Aqua Power will construct the power plant and deliver power to address the significant deficit existing in the installed capacity for power generation both within Beluluane and across the Southern African Power Pool (SAPP).
